• Sobek is the fierce Kemetic netjer known for military strength, fertility, virility, order, protection (especially against the dangers of the Nile), and mighty pharaonic power.
• His consort is Renenutet, a cobra-headed woman who took care of grain, grapes, harvest, and nourishment.
• He is very complex - Sobek is known to be powerful, but also has hymns mentioning about how much he loves to talk, and when Egyptologists dug up tombs, they found mummified remains of the West African crocodile instead of the Nile one - a big difference in a species' temperament!
• This crocodilian is a very powerful and strong member of the Kemetic netjeru so treat Him with respect.
• Sobek is also known for protecting the innocent with His awesome might just like crocodiles, and in Crocodilopolis (modern day Faiyum, Egypt) mummified crocs have been found with mummified eggs and baby crocs on their backs and in their mouths, just like how real crocs take take of their young.
